Hello and welcome to my blog!

I am Lorra Elena Angbue-Te, and this is where I share my passion for art, faith, and life.

As a visual storyteller, I create art that comes from or tells a narrative. Stories are important to me because the stories we tell live on, long after we’re gone, whether they’re in pictures, words, or both.

I started using watercolor when I was doing some DIY projects for my wedding in 2013, and realized that I really enjoyed creating with it.

In 2014, I decided to join a few workshops to learn more about the medium and it’s become my main medium ever since!

I set out to mainly be an illustrator but I accidentally ended up making a lot of lettering pieces too, featuring the quotes that I find uplifting. Through both my lettering and illustration work, I aim to connect with others (YOU!) and to spread a bit of sunshine wherever and whenever I can.

Recently, I’ve finished illustrating a book called The ABCs of Jesus’ Resurrection under Hiyas / OMF Literature and helped design the 2016 Scribble Planner by Filed.

Apart from this, I also co-create a webcomic with my husband, Elbert Or, called Homeycomb: A Married Life that’s all about our life as husband and wife. We’ve also given birth to our son last year, but we’re still recovering from new parents zombie syndrome, so episodes have been harder to churn out. We do have a lot of fun including our little Oliver in the stories though!

Lastly, I also co-founded Pushpin Visual Solutions, the only Manila-based studio that specialises in hand-drawn graphic recording and visual notes for impactful, engaging, and effective communication.
