Perfect Christmas Gifts for Your Artistic Friends 2016

Can you believe it? It’s almost the end of 2016! But before we get to the end, of course there’s Christmas to be celebrated. That’s in less than 3 weeks. Are you as excited as I am?

And no matter how horrible 2016 has been for a lot of people, Christmas is always a great time to not just appreciate and give thanks to Jesus, but also to appreciate the people in our lives.

I know a lot of artists, and I like thinking of myself as an artist too *wink*, so I thought it would be a good idea to come up with a Christmas Gift Guide for Artists. These are essentially the things that I would want to receive myself haha!

Ready? Here we go!

BGC Art Mart

Leaving you with just a short blog update, an invitation to attend the BGC Art Mart this coming weekend (as well as the weekend of October 4 and 5), and visit our Homeycomb booth.

The husband will be selling his comics, some Wonderpop shirts with his designs, and his limited edition Bakemono High Chuck toy.

And I’ll be selling my most recent watercolored works as notebooks, postcard printsChristmas gift tags, and a limited number of handdrawn canvas tote bags.

We hope to see you there!

Wilson’s Tagaytay: The Pounds I Gained (otherwise known as the food post)

NOTE: I am not a part of the Wilson’s Tagaytay staff nor am I connected in any way to them or their management. I was just there with my in laws for holiday and this is my account of that time.

First of all, Happy New Year! How were the holidays for you? I hope you had a great time with family and friends. If you spent it like I did, without any sort of dietary restrictions whatsoever, then let me say that I’m glad you survived the food coma. Hello 2014!

It wasn’t that long ago that Christmas and the New Year’s celebrations filled our bellies with much happiness. With much enthusiasm, I’d like to share with you the yummy treats and meals I got to try at Wilson’s Tagaytay.

Wilson’s Tagaytay: The Perfect Holiday Retreat

NOTE: I am not a part of the Wilson’s Tagaytay staff nor am I connected in any way to them or their management. I was just there with my in laws for holiday and this is my account of that time.

I was already planning to shift this blog into more of a lifestyle site throughout 2013 but things just got too busy at the new home that I never got around to it. And true, I’ve neglected this blog for the latter half of the year, but now it’s back and (hopefully) is even better!

Traveling is the ONE luxury that makes my heart flutter because I gain so much more (knowledge, experience, memories, etc.) than what I lose (money).

In 2013 alone, we were blessed to have been able to travel to my hometown of Davao City, our forever favorite Hong Kong, suntastic Cebu City, historical London, and beautiful Paris! I’ll definitely share our moments from those trips but let me start this semi-new blog category with a short trip to Tagaytay over the holidays.

The simple Wilson’s sign welcomes guests.

Guest Blogged on

Hello dreamers! I know, I know. I’ve been quite absent these past few months but I promise that I have very good reasons. Go go go 2014!

But while I was away from this place, I sort of cheated and did a two-parter blog entry on

The first part talks about DIY celebrations and gives you some ideas on how you can create your own celebration, YOURSELF!

And the second part is a simple tutorial on making your own watercolor tags, just like what we did for our wedding’s favors and escort cards. It’s perfect for gift-giving this holiday season too!
